Cyber Security Club Inaugural Meeting 11:45am Tue Apr 9

The first meeting of the Cyber Security Club will be in Hannah Hall, Room 123, on Tuesday, April 9 at 11:45am. The purpose of this meeting will be to discuss organization and continuing communication. There will be pizza.

Whether or not you attend, all prospective members, please send an email to cyberou@gmail.com. This is the "official" membership email address for the time being and broadcast emails will be sent from this address.

Here is another update for this week.

  1. An Email has been created, cyberou@gmail.com, this will be our main way of communication. George, can you make another broadcast to SECS students to let them know if they have any question to send it here, that way we have a control environment for all communication.

2.  Needs to create social outlet pages/ account (Facebook, Twitter, linkedin, etc). can one of you tackle that?

3.  Web page created at cyberou.wordpress.com, i believe i sent you all an account. If not please let me know i will send you and invite. I don't really like the user interaction of wordpress.com, I want to explore some different options. Suggestions are welcome. I am thinking about using one of our secs account to host a website, either using a CMS (content management system), or just create a website from scratch.

4. Graphic design, we will need some unique and cool graphic that is suitable for the club (logo and images for website).

5. An google docs should have been sent to all of you with our mission statement. Please take a look at that if you have a second.

6. We will probably all sit down and chat some time next week, before CIT 448, for lunch. Please forward you availability here.
